See a couple problems with the dimensions as stated. First, the plan view doesn't match. The image shows a length to beam ratio of about 3.6. That would give a length of about 315m for the listed beam of 87m. Of course, aside from that, it's still fucked, because the block coefficient ends up about .27, while reasonable ships are more like .5-.8. Dropping the dimensions by about 20% would solve the ridiculous fineness of the ship. BeowulfSDN 23:57, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
The 350m length is a necessity, so let's play out from there. What needs to be tweaked in order to keep the length? Fair enough I didn't really put much thought into this but merely copied the numbers from the putative Soviet future carrier proportions I found. Also, it's strange that the plans don't match. I remember tweaking the proportions so that the carrier is exactly 350 mm long and whatever it's wide. I'll re-read my carrier books...
